Pokhara, July 6: Shanti Niketan School, located in Parsyang-5, Pokhara, organized a special ceremony on Saturday to honor students who passed the SEE 2081. A total of 39 students were congratulated and felicitated during the event.

Among the honorees, Anupam Parajuli and Nischal Koirala stood out by securing a perfect 4.0 GPA and were each awarded a cash prize of Rs. 100,000. The school also honored the remaining students with ceremonial scarves, garlands, and tokens of love.

Out of 39 students, 38 achieved a 4.0 GPA in the Science stream, 24 in Accounting, and 22 in Nepali, according to school sources. Additionally, subject teachers of students who secured a 4.0 GPA were recognized with cash prizes as a token of encouragement.

Of the total students, 2 secured perfect scores, 32 achieved excellent results, and 5 earned satisfactory grades. The school reported an average GPA of over 3.75, with the highest being 4.0 and the lowest 3.16. Last year, only one student achieved a 4.0 GPA, indicating marked improvement this year.

Founder Principal Dr. Maheshwar Parajuli credited the success to experienced teachers, active parental involvement, and the hard work of students.

Speaking on the occasion, Lokanath Acharya, Head of the Education Development and Coordination Unit of Kaski, praised Shanti Niketan’s performance as outstanding among institutional schools in the district. He emphasized that students should reflect academic excellence in their behavior at home and in society as well.

Kamal Paudel Athak, a parent and News Chief at Radio Sarangkot, stated that Shanti Niketan continues to lead among Pokhara’s institutional schools. He encouraged the school to maintain and build on its achievements.

The ceremony, chaired by School Management Committee President Krishnamani Bhurtyal, was attended by Barahi Secondary School Principal Shiva Prasad Bhandari, school advisor Somnath Bhurtyal, social worker Heramba Prasad Koirala, Assistant Principal Yadubilas Bhurtyal, top-performing students Anupam Parajuli and Nischal Koirala, and social studies teacher Hem Subedi, among others, who all praised the school’s progress and academic results.
