Kathmandu: Young leader and entrepreneur Kiran KC is preparing to run for the position of Central Committee Member (CCM) of the Nepali Congress at the party’s 15th Central General Convention.
KC, who was elected as a Central General Convention Representative (Open) from Kaski Constituency No. 2 with strong popular support, has announced his intention to run for the Central Committee.
He explained that his decision to seek the CCM role is driven by his desire to combine his private-sector experience with the broader goals of nation-building and party growth.
He shared that his aim in running is to bring private sector insights into policymaking and directly connect politics with national prosperity. The Nepali Congress has been promoting discussions on economic policies centered around an open market economy, private sector collaboration, an investment-friendly and stable business environment, and local job creation.
The party has also announced that it will set aside a certain percentage of positions within party structures at all levels and in the allocation of election tickets for capable young entrepreneurs and business professionals. In this context, KC, with extensive experience in hydropower, finance, and infrastructure development, has put forward his name for the Central Committee.
“Having worked in the private sector, I have seen firsthand the challenges of creating jobs, expanding investments, and fostering economic growth,” KC stated. “The party is working to bridge politics and the private sector. My candidacy aims to prioritize entrepreneurship in policy and connect politics to national prosperity.”
