BBA Final Semester Students Participate Under 'Media and Public Relations' Course

Pokhara — A mock press conference program was successfully conducted on Friday by BBA eighth-semester students at Pokhara College of Management.

A total of 69 students from two sections participated in the event, divided into six groups, presenting their mock press briefings at the conference hall of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Saroj Kunwar, the Day Program Coordinator of the college, the students studying the ‘Media and Public Relations’ course learned the skills of coordinating with media through the program.

Campus Chief Lina Shrestha Negi expressed her happiness, stating that such programs help students acquire essential skills that will be useful in their professional careers.

Course Instructor Subash Mall informed that students gained practical experience in dealing with the media, conducting press conferences, and preparing press releases through the event.

Journalists Keshav Sharan Lamichhane, Shanti Gurung and Shobhakant Sigdel attended the event and provided feedback and evaluations of the students’ presentations.

Participant student Anjali Paudel shared that receiving feedback from seasoned journalists with years of experience in Pokhara made the learning experience more authentic and impactful.

Pokhara College of Management has been affiliated with Pokhara University for over two decades and has been offering management faculty education in Pokhara.

Currently, more than 600 students are enrolled in BBA, BBA-Finance, and BCSIT programs in the morning and day sessions at the college.
