Pokhara, October 1 – Pokhara College of Management (PCM) and the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, marking a significant step towards bridging academia and entrepreneurship in Pokhara.

PCM, established in 2002 and affiliated with Pokhara University, offers bachelor programs in Business Administration, Computer Science and Information Technology, and Business Administration – Finance. NYEF, founded in 2003, is the apex body of young entrepreneurs in Pokhara, with a vision to become the most influential community of young entrepreneurs in the city.

The three-year agreement outlines several key areas of collaboration:

Event Participation: PCM will encourage student participation in NYEF events and provide venues and resources when applicable. A student ambassador will be assigned to lead collaborative initiatives.

Volunteering Opportunities: Students will have the chance to volunteer at NYEF events, particularly during flagship programs, gaining valuable experience in event management and networking.

Internships and Job Placements: NYEF will work with partner organizations to create internship opportunities for PCM students. Additionally, NYEF will support PCM in organizing an annual job fair and collaborate on providing placement opportunities.

Networking: NYEF events will serve as a platform for PCM students to interact with entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry professionals, fostering valuable connections for their future careers.

Mentorship: NYEF will provide mentors from its network to guide student entrepreneurs on various aspects of business development and leadership.

In return, NYEF will benefit from increased exposure through PCM’s programs, promotional materials, event banners, and college publications.
