Idea Competition at Pokhara College of Management

The Idea Contest competition was concluded on Friday at Pokhara College of Management.

In the competition, held in the conference room of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 12 groups presented their business plans.

The first place was awarded to the “Rijen Fuels and Energy” group, which received a cash prize of 10,000 rupees and a certificate. Similarly, the “Daily Basket” group secured second place, receiving 6,000 rupees in cash along with a certificate, as informed by the college principal, Lina Negi Shrestha.

The plans were evaluated by Navaraj Adhikari, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Promotion Center, Pokhara Metropolitan City; Prakash Acharya, Founder of Mukti Energy and Harilo; and Laxmi Thapa Giri, Executive Director of Pahiran Trading.

According to the annual calendar of the college, this competition is organized every year, as shared by the event coordinator Hari Adhikari.

The competition helped foster entrepreneurial thinking among students who have studied entrepreneurship, as mentioned by Associate Professor Nikesh Karmacharya. The program was held under the chairmanship of Principal Mrs. Shrestha, with Associate Professor Subash Mall as the host.

For the past two decades, Pokhara College of Management has been affiliated with Pokhara University, offering management studies in Pokhara. The college currently has over 600 students enrolled in the BBA, BBA Finance and BScIT programs in both day and morning sessions.
