Pokhara College of Management (PCM) launched its annual Sports Meet today, December 24, 2024, marking the beginning of five days filled with athletic enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
The event, meticulously organized by sixth-semester students from BBA and BCIS programs, has drawn participation from students across all eight semesters.
Principal Leena Negi Shrestha officially inaugurated the Sports Meet with an inspiring address to the gathered students. In her speech, she emphasized how sports contribute to more than just physical fitness.
“Sports activities play a crucial role in developing students’ event management abilities and leadership skills,” she noted, highlighting the broader educational value of such gatherings.
The organizing committee, comprising final-year students, has arranged a diverse range of sporting events that will unfold over the next five days. The enthusiasm is palpable as students from all semesters have signed up to participate, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition and college-wide unity.
This sporting event not only provides a welcome break from academic routines but also offers valuable hands-on experience in event organization for the senior students who are managing the proceedings.
The campus grounds have come alive with cheering supporters and determined participants, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting week of sports at PCM.
The Sports Meet will continue through December 28, 2024, featuring various athletic competitions and team events.
